Good Afternoon Everyone.....

How hard is it to find records of C.C. Forces (Cape Colonial), would they be in Pretoria or UK.....

Just purchased a piece with "CAPE COLONY", "ORANGE FREE STATE" , named "423 TPR J.C. HALVORSEN, C.C. FORCES".....

The short answer is impossible Mike. Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings.

I had the opportunity to buy a QSA to this crowd to the rank of Lieutenant but was put off by the absolute lack of any information. With the odd exception this site can be relied upon for the nominal rolls for most Colonial outfits - not so the C.C. Forces who remain a mythical beast.

Regards

Rory

Thanks Rory......

I did a quick look and was unable to find anything either......

Maybe they are spies and don't want to have anything known about them......

My Mother passed away earlier this year at the age of 97 and a few years ago when we were watching a documentary on TV and she said that during the war she had worked there...... She then went on to tell me of how she had worked at Bletchley Park and after seeing the documentary she thought it was all right to talk about it as she had been sworn to secrecy......
