Good Morning to our South African Members.....

Voortrekker Monument Military Fair held at the Voortrekker Monument in Pretoria, South Africa. It is on Monday 2nd of May.

Will any of our members be attending this fair and can they tell us what it was like??????

Although word of this fair spread as far as Canada, it had not penetrated to my small corner of the old Colony of Natal. I too will look forward to reading a report about it..

Yes, it is annual but more like a flea market. Lot's of public interest though.

We lesser mortals in the Last Outpost are, as Brett infers, blissfully unaware of this event.

Was anyone who's a forum member there?

Hi Rory, I was there but found it to be more of casual flea market type of affair with lots of recent military artifacts for sale. Not really something I would go to again. If you have not been to the military museum in Johannesburg then that would be my recommendation, they also host regular similar sort of events, the most recent one being a weapons auction and flea market which was also well attended.
