On the anniversary day, I visited Elandslaagte but was very disappointed to find the monument to the left (from the British viewpoint) had been damaged, presumably purposefully. From the stones that lay around the monument, this was probably a recent event.

Truly shocking, this must have happened in the last 3 months or so as I pass by Elandslaagte on a regular basis when traveling to Newcastle, Dundee and Vryheid on business and I did not noticed this :angry: . Swines !!
