Did his younger brother serve in South Africa too?

Morning Berenice

Another fine headstone. I don't think William was a serving soldier when he died - no trace in the casualty rolls, Watt or medal rolls.

Thomas Charles did indeed serve in the ABW - 4896 10th Hussars. Noted on the roll as having died at Mhow and medal sent to his father in Preston.

Lovely to see the family used every inch of the headstone.
