There are military graves in St James' on Boundary Road, Dundee.

1. Maj Gen Sir W Penn-Symons
2. Lt. W M J Hannah, 1st Leicestershire Regt, killed on 21 October 1899
3. Brevet Maj Robert Bruce Blunt, Lancashire Fusiliers, who died of wounds received in February 1902.

Reverend Gerard Bailey who buried Penn Symons is also interred here.

By contrast, the last time I saw St Matthew's Church in Estcourt, which I once attended and where my father was a sidesman, the Church was closed and the cemetery was in a disgraceful state of neglect. I will post some pictures of the combined British/Boer monument at the Swedish Mission which is suffering from the environment more than from anything else. Dr David Biggins
