Today marks the 11th anniversary of the site - as you may have noticed from the temporary banner at the top of the page!

As ever, I am indebted to those members who contribute their time, assistance and knowledge to make the site what it is today. I think that adding the forum five years ago was the best thing that could have happened to the site and has taken the site into areas that would not otherwise have been possible. Adding photos, transcribing names, undertaking research, offering advice, sharing information ... are wonderful aspects of our community.

I also appreciate the support of medal auctioneers and dealers who allow their images to be reproduced here.

It has been a good year on the site. We were just shy of 1 million page views in the year. 146,000 people visited the site and 14,864 people have visited the site more than 200 times in the year.

The forum contains 41,500 messages. The five most popular subjects are:


The unusual combination thread has been viewed nearly 30,000 times and the book thread on 33,000 occasions.

This year saw a new venture with the addition of the ABO roll and my plan is to add a roll to the forum for the BSACM and possibly other medals too. The names on the site were augmented with an RE roll and I am working on a further 70,000 names to be added as time allows.

I'm looking forward to the coming year and to growing and developing our community.
