Thought you might like to see a recent postcard aquisition.
The card postmarked Richmond Natal Dec 03
Front shows Ladysmith Town Hall after bombardment March 1900
Orderly Room Imperial Light Horse LadysmithLadysmith,showing Lombards Kop and part of Umbuwane.
Top marks to anyone who can make out the message on the card!

Thank you for showing this postcard. I am beginning to understand why collecting postcards is a compelling hobby!

The Pietermaritzburg Repository of the SA National Archives has two files relevant to the writer of this postcard:

1896 - Oliver Ripton Daniel was in a legal dispute with another man.

1917 - O Ripton Daniel applied for a prospecting permit.

Looks like "Don't send more have enough of England now" to me. Referring to postcards?

Very interesting postcard which I haven't seen before. Part of the shell that hit the ILH orderly room was sold at the Spink Centenary sale in 1999 (Lot 208).
