Anthony,

It appears that William Joseph Donohoe applied to be a Constable Goaler in 1884 in the Stellenbosch District. He was married to Ellen Mary Donohoe and it also looks as if he died in 1918.

Gentlemen,
I think that any QSA issued to a member of the Cape Police with a Defence of Kimberley clasp is a really superb medal and well worth having.

Frank,

I agree with you however, to bag a QSA to the CP with the Defence of Mafeking clasp would be a real treat. Approx 100 issued to the CP and most of them to Dist 2.

Hello,

I wonder if you could help me out with a little research, I have a QSA, with claps Defence of Kimberley, Relief of Mafeking, Orange Free State, and Transvaal to a Corporal F E W White No 543 who was in district 1 of the Cape Police and a KSA to a Corporal T A Voules who was promoted Lt on 18-6-02. As I don't know what his QSA clasps are? and what district he was in.
The KSA has been unofficially re-named with his rank as Lieutenant.

Many thanks for your help and assistance in this matter and I look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,

Does anyone have any idea as to how many DOK bars were issued to the Cape Police.

Thanks
Anthony
