Good morning David,
Donald was a great character who did so much for collectors across the civilized world!

The ABO rolls do come up for sale from time to time. DNW, Kaplan and City Coins have sold them in the past.

The publisher was Roberts Publications Ltd (1976) and the roll is actually called:

Die medaljerol
Dekoratie voor trouwe dienst. Anglo-Boeroorlog
De Zuidafrikaanse Republiek en Oranje Vrijstaat oorlogsmedalje
Lint voor Verwonding opgedaan gedurende de Anglo-Boeroolog.
The medal roll

Arthur George Pierce attested into the Cape Police District 2 in Kimberley on the 1st January 1900. He was 26 years old and was from Exeter, Devon England.

He had previous service in the Cape Government Railways as a Goods Clerk and in the Cape Police as a Special Constable. He had been in SA for 6 years by the time he attested. He served in the Special Police from the 29th September 1899 until the 31st December 1899 and as mentioned attested into the CP Dist 2 on the 1st Jan 1900.

Nice medal.

Frank,

No, not this time. I am trying to negotiate a CP group, CGHGS medal QSA/KSA to a Cape Policeman with a mate on another forum.
