1025 Tpr E Jennings is an American civil war
veteran & buried in Adelaide South Australia.
He enlisted underage on 26 June 1863 as a
Private in A Company 33rd Pennsylvannia Vol
Militia when Gen Robert E Lee invaded PA. He
was mustered out after Gettysburg emergency
on 4 August 1863 without seeing action but
re enlisted 1st Pennsylvannia Light Artillary
D Battery on March 22 1864. He was mustered
out of the Union Army on 30 June 1865 and
later became a seaman and immigrated to South
Australia. Anglo Boer war service in SALH and
2ACH. Died 1932 grave in Cheltenham cemetry.
