Despite the last DNW auction only ending yesterday afternoon, the preview for the September sale makes for interesting browsing as there are already a large number of South Africa 1834-53 and South Africa 1877-79 medals catalogued.

Very few QSA so far but it has been an exceptional year, particularly for South African QSAs.

The amount of 1834-53 medals is truly bewildering, but, to see a quantity of South Africa War medals and 1879 clasps is really quite pleasing, these days, given the relative scarcity of them in todays marketplace.

I am very pleased to have got five out of five, although none with an ABW connection. This does mean that the piggy-bank is empty shortly before the next City Coins sale is posted.

You did well Brett. Looking forward to both seeing them and reading about them under the Frontier Wars section.

Regards
