Philip Burman died this afternoon.
We will answer enquiries as soon as we can.

I talked to him and made a purchase at the 2016 OMRS Convention........

I agree. I have dealt with Philip quite a number of times over the years. He was very helpful in answering questions; never "talked down".
He will be greatly missed.

Yes, he was always helpful and I acquired some very nice items from him over the years. He will indeed be missed. My deepest sympathies to his family and may he rest in peace.

The worst possible news, he was a very decent gentleman, honest and sincere, a brave officer and a magnificent pilot.

Perhaps someone can provide a short biography for the benefit of those of us who did not know him.

Pinched from BMF........

Philip Burman has been a collector of military medals since he was a young boy. Over the years, his hobby has escalated into a business. He is now a very well known dealer in the medal world. He joined the R.A.F., and during the Korean War served on the Sunderland Flying Boat. After full time service he transferred to the R.A.F.U.R., Finally retiring with the Rank of Wing Commander in 1989. Philip is a member of many societies and associations including the OMRS & OMSA, he is also mentioned in The Medal News - Medal Year Book and many other websites and forums.

I have purchased many items over the years from him and as previously stated last talked to him at the 2016 OMRS Convention..... I understand that his RAF Gallantry and Commonwealth Air Force collection was one of the best in the world.....
