Adrian,

Not sure whether this will be of interest. The next John Nicolson auction has a KSA (2) awarded to 450 SERJT. W. E. LEPPAN C. P. DIST

David,

Thank you for the heads up. It seems that he was Walter Leppan, who re attested into the CP in May of 1905 with the Reg number 1660 so therefore would have been around for a while. He was also entitled to the CGHGS medal as well as the QSA both with the Reg number 450.

I have the following SAC group of 4:

QSA (4 bar) 2334 E. J. Dickson SAC
14/15 Trio Sgt. E.J. Dickson Rustenburg CDO.

I never got around to looking into this group, but I would imagine it would be an interesting story. I must put it on my "to do" list.

Wombat,
James.

Hello James,

Try Dewald, he will or should be able to get you colour scaned copies of his SAC and WW1 papers. First class service.

His details are: [email protected]

Hello James,

I posted a reply yesterday but for some reason it has not reflected on the thread.

Anyway, drop Dewald a line. He will be able to get you (I am sure) color copies of his SAC and WW1 papers.

His email is: [email protected]

James,

Did Dickson serve in the Cape Police at some time?
