Gentlemen.....

The book I use is:

O'Okiep, The Defence and Relief of O'Okiep, Cape Colony by Brian L. Kieran, Published 1995, ISBN 976-8136-30-8 in Paperback and ISBN 976-8136-31-6 in Hardcover, Published by Bourne Press Limited, United Kingdom

The book has full medal rolls and history.....

It is basically in the same foremat as your books David..... But of course yours are better David.....

Mike,

I liked the style and content of Brian's book very much.

For the O'okiep medal, is it the case that the recipients are inferred rather than being listed on a nominal roll, as in the case of the Hong Kong Plague Medal?

With thanks for your overly kind words
David

The Keiran roll is just the QSA roll with as you say inferred information added, to my understanding, so there may be someone who did not get a QSA but did get the O'Okiep medal that would not be in the book.

The 18 silver medals are not in the Keiran book, so Forsyth must have had additional information? Any ideas on where he got that?

I see Brian every year in Canberra but keep forgetting to quiz him on his book!
