Now I have nothing to do with Spinks and am definitely not an agent of theirs. All I am doing is alerting Forum members that in Spinks next auction is no less than 18 Zulu war medals to Imperial units and another 58 to Colonial units-many units I have never heard off.

I received my copy of the catalogue today. A sizeable chunk of the lots covers Part 1 of the the sale of the late Terry Sole's collection. This part is South Africa 1834-53 and 1877-79. Although Terry was well known for his deep interest in the Zulu War I'm assuming Part 2 will cover 1899-1902 and be in Spink's catalogue for their November auction.

These go under the hammer today so good luck to those bidding.

Some of those lots are very rare indeed and this does not always seem to have reflected on the hammer, I think a few bargains were had today by some lucky buyers.
