I've got a list of those members of the BSAP who were awarded a clasp for the Defence of Mafeking,
but I don't have the names of those who received the Relief of Mafeking clasp. Some would have been
members of the BSAP No.1 and No. 2 Divisions and there may have even been some from the No. 3
Division.
Quite a few of the BSAP were part of Plumer's Relief Column.
If some kind person could let me have the BSAP Relief of Mafeking Clasp list it would be greatly
appreciated.

Dear Mike
If it helps
Trooper 1140 George Greenwood Share
Attested into the BSAP on 10.8. 1899 and was a member of the BSAP No. 2 (Matabeleland) Division.
He took his discharge by purchase on 8.11.1900. Conduct described as "Very Good"
I wonder where he wandered off to. Rimington's Tigers included several former members
of the BSAP in its ranks. Maybe, but I don't know.
Kind regards
Geoff

Dear Mike,
I've got a copy of the pre 1903 Nominal Roll. Information is brief,
but for person you are asking about it says:

Trooper 1400 William Herbert Rogers
Attested 26.5.1901
Was posted to the BSAP No. 2 (Matabeleland) Division
Discharged 25.5.1903 "Time Expired"
Conduct "Very Good".

I don't know where he went to next, but after the war several joined the
SAP, but I don't know if he was one of them.

The records of service for members of the BSAP prior to 1903, when the Force was
re-organized and numbering started from No.1 again, no longer exist and were probably
destroyed. Same seems to apply to records of the BBP unfortunately.

Kind regards
Geoff
