QSA (1) RoL (2500 Sgt. J. S. Amner, Devon. Regt.)

Sergeant J. S. Amner, 2rd Battalion Devonshire Regiment, was killed in action at the battle of Colenso, 15 December 1899.

I don't know if it was surprise or not that the group to Capt Stewart reached the price it did.

The single to Sgt Amner looks interesting and again, I wonder if the guide price is realistic, bearing in mind how collectable these are, to us anyway!

This will not be the first time that the naming on a memorial is slightly wrong. It is most certainly him.

Prompted by your comment, I looked up the hammer price for the group to Capt G M Stewart and see this was £8,000. Wow!
