BellowRobert Walter DillonCaptainHe was killed in action at Fourteen Streams, Piquetberg Road, October 16th, 1901.  He was born July 1872, entered the 16th Lancers in March 1892, was promoted Lieutenant March 1895, and Captain October 1899. He served with the 16th Lancers in India, and during the later months of the Tirah Campaign, 1897-98, he was attached to Sir William Lockhart's Staff as an extra orderly officer.  While in South Africa, Captain Bellew contracted enteric fever, and when convalescent was appointed Assistant Press Censor at Bloemfontein, which post he held for a short time, afterwards rejoining his regiment.
