ChallenorRobert RichardsCaptainHe was killed in action at Boschbult, Kleinhardts River, on March 31st, 1902. He was born in May 1871, entered the Connaught Rangers January 1892, was promoted Lieutenant December 1893, and Captain into the Lancashire Fusiliers, June 1900, joining the first battalion in Crete. In December 1901, he was seconded for service with the Mounted Infantry in South Africa and served there until killed. He had been previously slightly wounded.
