Arrived at the Cape on 23rd February 1900.  Was engaged on the left at the action at Brandfort, 3rd May 1900.  Operated for many months in the Orange River Colony, in the Lindley-Kroonstad and Hoopstad district.  Four guns were with General Beatson in the Eastern Transvaal in 1901, and two guns were with Colonel Grey and afterwards with Colonel Garratt (see Lord Kitchener's despatch of 8th July).
