CB Jun 1903; Commandant prisoners of war Simon's Town, South Africa and in command of the troops and prisoners of war on St Helena; Acting Governor of St Helena from April to September 1901, (Medal, Cape Colony clasp): GSP 29 September 1906, employed under War Office 15 December 1914. He died 20 May 1921. CB, QSA (1) CC (Lt Col RMLI).
