I am not familiar with the Royal Army Farrier Corps. I always thought that Farriers, Shoeing Smith's were attached to various regiment's.
The Army Service Corps, Royal Engineers, RAVC, Cavalry regiments etc, etc.
I wonder if it was written in error? And pertains to his Royal Army Flying Corps days ? in which he did serve after transferring from the Royal Field Artillery. Just a thought.
