Of the 59 articles 5 are for 1901 and 1 for 1902. Reproduced below except for 3 which are shortened versions of one of those below. His next appearance is 5 articles in 1905 but they all relate to the death of his Reverend father and the settlement of his estate. It is of interest to note that (a) the Conservative Club flag flew at half mast when his father died, (b) Alexander had two younger brothers who served in the army, one had already died in India and there is no mention of Boer War service for either of them.
