it does help a lot. With the size of the POW feathers being so small I would imagine they are easily mistaken for collars. I wouldn't imagine there are too many complete rosettes with the badges.

I have had an Imperial Yeomanry badge on a rosette and let it go too easily. A while ago this badge was brought in but this one I am going to hang onto

Its a good thing that I dont just collect Imperial Yeomanry badges to the Boer War as it would be a very slow process. I see that I posted a picture of my 45th Company badge some 4 years and 7 months ago. Since then I have acquired one to the Sharpshooters and just recently one to what I assume is the 8th Battalion.

Original Sharpshooters are quite scarce they were made in three pieces rather than simply die struck in a single die.

The one I have is one piece, die struck. So I guess not original. Pity but its always good to know which is real and which isn't .
