Thomas Loyd Morris served with the 1st NSWMR.

WO100/288p78 lists CC OFS, Joh and DH.

Also served 1st Australian Commonwealth Horse. SA02 from ACH (WO100/293p10)

Duplicate medal returned 20 December 1906.

From Sydney.

Service dates 6 December 1899 to 13 December 1900 and 13 March to 31 May 1902.

QSA (5) CAPE COLONY, ORANGE FREE STATE, TRANSVAAL, SOUTH AFRICA 1901, SOUTH AFRICA 1902 (3467 TPR F.W. GOSPER. N.S. WALES. M.R.)

Description says: Comes with copies of roll, and newspaper articles. Frederick William Gosper was born on 6/1/1879 in St Leonards, Sydney, New South Wales. He served in South Africa with the 3rd New South Wales Mounted Rifles from April 1901 to April 1902. The Regiment saw hard fighting and tough soldiering during the campaign and were highly successful. A Charles John Gosper of the 3rd NSW M.R. died on 26/11/1901 whilst crossing a river, (perhaps a relative), with Frederick was one of the contributors to his memoriam 26/11/1902. He returned to Australia residing in N.S.W. until his death on 1/9/1968 at Concord. Sydney, New South Wales. His service medal is numbered 3467, whilst the roll records it as 3464.
