Thank you for posting those superb images from the Shrewsbury Museum. Now on the list for a visit when next in the town.
Of particular interest is the medal to a soldier surname of Link. I have a QSA pair to Corporal Herbert Link from Alveley, near Bridgnorth in Shropshire. I must make the searches to see if their is a link between them (unintentional pun!).

Many thanks for posting the images , well worth a visit next time your in Shrewsbury Steve. With reference to your Corporal H Link 3147 Worcestershire Regiment from Aveley Bridgenorth. The Shropshire chap mentioned in Berenice's post is Edward Link who was born in 1880 at Stotterston Cleobury Mortimer. A farmer apparently. May help you in your quest regarding a possible connection?
