I recently acquired a QSA to 4445 Pte. W. Grainger of the 1st Worcesters. He was severely wounded at Bethlehem on 16 December 1900 and perished from is wounds on 25 December 1900.

The problem is I can't identify him and no papers seem to exist for him. Can anyone help?

Regards

Rory

Rory,

I think there will be no service papers as these would have been destroyed.

His QSA (2) CC OFS is listed on WO100/184p10. The remarks column notes 'Dead'.

I'm not sure there will be much more on him, from a military perspective.

Best wishes
David
