I am forever hopeful that someone out there may have any information on some missing medals. The first is for my Grandfather Trooper 1433/1443/1561 W. Talbot . He was with the 1st Imperial, 2nd Imperial and the BSAP (hence the numerous numbers). His QSM has been missing for many years and no one in the family has any idea. It had 5 bars, Cape Colony, Transvaal, Belmont, South Africa 1901 and 1902.
The second is for my Great Grandfather Trooper 20 W, Anfield of 1st KFS and 2nd KFS. whereabout are totally unknown and whether issued or not is also unknown. he left his family after the war and there is no record of what happened to him. I am not sure if it is QSM or KSM

W H Anfield served in E Squadron Rhodesian Regiment Trooper 587. His medal was issued on 24th March 1904. Looks like he also served in SRV - Trooper 721. Rolls attatched.....tried to enlarge but failed miserably. Hope you can read the details?
Regards
Dave.

Hi Dave, thanks for that info, I knew he was with KFS but I had no idea he was with the Rhodesian regiment. The family lost contact with him after the Boer War and nobody knew what happened to him. He had been a bit of a wanderer (to put it lightly) so I guess wherever he died his medals would have been there. Or he sold them. He had no other relatives, both his parents were dead and he was an only child.. It is such a pity to lose family history.
Thanks again Dave
Regards
Rob
