Another set of eight cards. Seven by "Victa"; one by "Darsane".

"La Guerre du Transvaal / 8 Cartes Postales Satiriques / 1 / Couleurs".

This set seems to have been published as a limited edition, with all cards and wrappers stamped with a number (in this case "1"). This therefore appears to be No. 1 of an edition of c. 100 (the highest number I have seen is 95). There were two editions - one in black & white, the other in colour.

1. Rôle des Tommys: Se render. / Pour la liberté on sefait tuer / Pour Cécil Rhodes et Cie. déshabiller.
2. Rôle d’Edouard VII. / Ce bon Edouard éperdu / N’en reçoit que des coups de pied au …
3. TWEEBOSCH, 7 mars 1902. / Evènement regrettable dû àl’affollement des mules et des ânes.
4. Rôle de Salisbury. / Ce pauvre marquis, / Du role d’âne est épris.
5. EDOUARD VII ET LE TRANSVAAL. 7 mars 1902. / Et ce n’est pas fini!
6. Rôle de John [sic] Chamberlain: Encaisser. / Dans ses mains le sang change en or / Et il se charge de le placer dans son coffre fort.
7. LA PIEUVRE ANGLAISE. / Tu as cette fois Albion, / En face de toi un Lion. / 1899.
8. LE GOOUFFRE. / Chamberlain / Salisbury / Edouard.
