TOPIC:

Close to the centre of the defences at Jammersberg Drift is a house and the small chapel that contains family and military graves.

The house served as accommodation for the officers and also as a field hospital.

The house is currently undergoing restoration.

Several outbuildings have been demolished including the kitchens and servants quarters and there are many piles of the stones and bricks that are being held for the rebuild.

I heard that you could still find croquet hoops in the garden but I was not able to find any.
