Howick is a village in Natal, 50 miles north west of Durban on the road to Ladysmith. During the Boer War it was the site of No 15 General Hospital and a Boer concentration camp.

No 15 General Hospital with the town of Howick in the background. The hospital opened in July 1900 with over 500 and had double this number by September.
