I picked up this book whilst passing through Cape Town International Airport in December.

"Remembering The Rebellion" written by Jeff Guy, 2006.

Excellent read.

Thanks to everyone for there replies, i have had a quick look through, but we read them in more detail tonight.

Mark, Alexander was born on the 4th January 1882 at Nethermill, Fettercairn, Scotland.

I did manage to buy one book which gave the medal rolls for the Bambatha rebellion which listed A C Smith, this is also how his name is engraved on the rim of the medal.
