I have a name, William Henry Burrows and a photograph of him. I have not been able to find his service records. The uniform he is wearing is that of an Hussar. The medal he is wearing shows 4 clasps. How do I find his service records and the details (campaigns) of the clasps?

What is that badge? 3rd Dragoon Guards or 10th Royal Hussars?

There is 4262 Pte W Burrows, 19th Hussars who earned QSA (4) Belfast, OFS, DoF and Laing's Nek. Also the KSA (2).

A wonderful portrait, this particular gentleman is very likely, certainly, in my opinion, to be 4561 William Henry Burrows of the 15th Hussars, the infamous wretched "Fighting Fifteenth" late 4866 of the 11th Hussars, (you simply joined the Corps and often transferred between individual regiments) who most interestingly, actually serviced with Militia, the 4th Derbyshire Regiment in South Africa as 6796 Corporal and received four clasps with his QSA, he would subsequently serve in South Africa again as part of it's Imperial Garrison and actually bare witness to the state of Union in 1910.
His interesting service is very clearly shown in WO97 and in particular regard to his medal, in both the main and supplementary volume of WO100/192.

Do you know who Burrows was, a family member perhaps?

Burrows wears his most handsome Dolman, although, clearly, not as magnificent as once they were, which was absolutely unique to his regiment, the Fighting Fifteenth!
