Army Order 194 of 1901 accepted the Royal Monmouth Engineers for service in South Africa. Army Order 195 redefined the term nurse and nursing sisters.

Army Order 226 Of November 1901 allowed Colonial soldiers to enlist in the Imperial Yeomanry.
