Debo,

There is a 3861 Sgt W Scott listed on the 2nd Btn roll for the Worcester Regiment.

The roll records the clasps for Cape Colony, Transvaal and Wittebergen.

Against his name on the right it says his was discharged in South Africa and went on the serve in the Imperial Military Railways.

This image is from WO100/184 p138.

There are two W Scotts on the supplementary roll, one linked to the QSA roll Sergeant and the other a private with number 6067.

WO100/184 p179.

Do you think this is your ggd?

Debbie,

That's good news. I searched FindMyPast for him now that you have his number but there are no service papers for him sadly.

Do you know if he served in the Great War?

David
