I've acquired a QSA with clasps CC and Driefontein to 9282 Pte. G. Gilby of the 1st Battalion Coldstream Guards. This chap succumbed to Enteric in Bloemfontein in April 1900 and all attempts to identify at least a first name, have proved unsuccessful.

Can anyone assist in this regard? I have tried various permutations but, to no avail.

Regards

Rory

Rory

Some references to him on FMP under 9262.
Born in Surrey
Wife named Lucy Alice - no children recorded

In a quick search I wasn’t able to translate that information to his birth, their marriage, or a census address

Medal roll WO100/164 says "9262" and Died 16/400 Enteric. Clasps as you posted.
