I was having a look through my military box of memorabilia today and I have come across F.G Wacher's medal from this campaign. I'm currently digging into any family history we have regarding Frank. I will be cleaning this medal up today. Thank you to everyone that puts information and runs this page, it's incredible to read through.

Many thanks for posting the image of Frank Wacher's QSA medal. Good to know that it is still extant and another surviving medal of the Askean old boys to add to our knowledge.

Hi Steve,

Currently still digging and trying to draw up any relations. This is something my grandfather has had probably since he was a boy along with medals from his father from WW1. If i find absolutely no relation or any documentation along with it I will look to donate the medal to the school that Frank came from, or any family members that I can find. But for now I will be spending some time digging into family history!
