I'm not sure what it is. I found it as a reference on FMP to a chap in my collection - William Thomas Devonshire - who was with the Kimberley Horse/Regiment.

I am hopeful that page 27 contains a photo and that he is in it.

The version of Kimberley Under Siege that I have is the 50th Anniversary issue.

Its page 27 is text only



There was a second edition of this work that was enlarged. My copy has 95 pages. The second edition has 130 pages.

Page 27 is the same in both editions.

I thought it might be a mistaken reference to the Siege of Kimberley book which has many more illustrations but, while there are some images in p27, none are relevant to your query, Rory.
