The Cornish branch were Wesleyan Methodists, thus allowing William Penrose to join the Imperial Yeomanry and fight in South Africa. I see William's letters were in the keeping of an Ian Phillips in 1992. It would be interesting to read them, as, despite the rank issue, he remains the only W. Penrose that might be a contender.

what else does it say? Can you trace the burgers mentioned?
