Good morning,
You need to bare in mind that any of these papers will not give you answers to your questions in your original post, this unit has not been widely written about or discussed in the past, moreover, it only existed for what was really, in relative terms, a very short period of time, from the very end of 1900, throughout 1901 and into the spring of the follwing year, out in the Vanrhynsdorp district.
