Actually only the one seller, Frank. Natalie had a preview of some medals that will be offered on City Coins' next auction. Those of us living in this part of the old Empire are very medalically deprived.

Brett,

The WW1 Territorial Force Medal group did sell shortly after I spoke to Michael. It was named to one S/Sgt C.Lewis of the AOC if memory serves. You don't see many of these groups out here.

I agree with Brett but would propagate a partial solution to our malaise - residing in many local chaps collections are medals superfluous to their requirements or those that have lost their allure.

A suggestion would be to put a price tag on some of these and create a "master list" which could be circulated and purchases made from that.

Very good idea Rory,

You kick off and start the ball rolling with a list.

I'll see what I can rustle up tomorrow. There's bound to be a few ABW or WWI or WWII singles/groups which I no longer have an interest in which might appeal to someone else and the same can be said of all the other KZN based collectors.

Thanks Adrian

Hi Guys

Sorry been away for a bit, no time to "you know what" these days! Commitments all over the place and the year is nearly half way through...can you believe it ! Well for me the highlight of the show besides the DCM group was the brunch had by all of us, it was nice for the wives to get in on the hobby, I know my wife was happy to have Bretts better half there to chat to.

I really do think we need to get together next year and show those guys how to display medals. We spoke about it last year and it fizzeled out.

Brian
