His grandfather was in the 17th Lancers so he is interested to find out about what they did. However the book doesn't cover 1899-1902. Are there any books that would cover this period and give information about the 17th Lancers role? Thanks

LinneyI Offline Senior Member Posts: 2781 Thank you received: 1622	Sarah* The book "Our Regiments in South Africa" by Stirling has about two and a half pages on 17L. It gives some idea of area of operations, etc. I had a quick look in Hackett's bibliography and could not see one that specifically dealt with the 17L. Regards IL.
