Frank
A final weather report ........ The sun did not emerge yesterday and the temperature in our house did not rise above 21. Just when we were becoming concerned about developing rickets, the sun has emerged at intervals today, so we do indeed have something more to moan about.
Regards
Brett

The temperature is one thing, but as I type this ( 5.45pm), my humidity gauge tells me that the humidity is 98,5%. I'm not quite sure what that means, but it sounds impressive !

Now you are surely not telling me all you had was a cup of tea and a cake are you?
Actually, I was thinking about you yesterday as I purchased two cases of South African sauvignon blanc, one Boschendal and the other Robertson Winery for the Christmas period, I've defected from New Zealand purely on cost, moreover, the South African produce has certainly improved over recent years!

For the past two days, Durban has been blanketed by low cloud and rain. The temperature is in the low 20's and where I live it is misty and gloomy. Meanwhile a few miles inland the sun is shining and the countryside is drought-stricken. There are places in SA today where the temperature is predicted to be in the high 30's and low 40's. Apparently, El Nino is to blame.

The host for our meetings is Mike Conradie. He and his family are the most hospitable and generous of hosts. The young and fit are provided with beers, while the more decrepit have tea or coffee instead. There are sweet and savoury tea-cakes for all.

You would enjoy being a most welcome guest.

I have to sadly confess that it is indeed so! If we were so fortunate as to have you at one of our meetings, and now that we know your taste in liquid refreshment, your needs would be catered for. In addition, Kloof still has the Stoker's Arms and Tina's as watering holes.
Regards
Brett.

Hello Brett,
Quite frankly, a trip down to a warmer climate is just what I need, but, sadly it is quite out of the question at the moment, I wish the reverse was the case, one goes out, it rains, you leave the office to have lunch, it rains, you get up to go to work, it rains, you leave the office to go home, it rains and so on, it is, in fact, really quite dire.
Frank is bloody well fed up! :(
