Interested Forum members.

A couple of books on the Naval and Military Press website at a reduced price. Maybe of interest?

The Australians at the Boer War by R L Wallace. 1976. Is this book recommended?

For it's day (mid 70's), Wallace's book was a first and in my opinion is now something of a collector's item. However, if you want a wider OZ perspective on the ABW, I would suggest that "Australia's Boer War" by Craig Wilcox or "The War With Johnny Boer" by Chamberlain and Droogleever are much better options.

Understood.
If I can request one more recommendation. Is there a chronology of battles, skirmishes, etc for the 2nd Boer War? To include the smallest exchange of gunfire or RR mining?

For a chronology of the campaign as the various stages expanded, I would recommend Maurice's History of the War in South Africa (four volumes with several map volumes and reprint available from the Naval and Military press). You can also access it in the "Books" section of David's site. You won't find any sensational reporting in Maurice (unlike certain other works) and BTW, I have no connection with the N@MP other than to buy from them at full retail.
It is unrealistic to expect a chronology of a campaign to "include the smallest exchange of gunfire" such as you seek. Regimental histories can drill down deeper. For example, the West Yorks Regiment published a Digest of Services of that Regiment between 1899-1902 and later on this day (in other words, when I can find it!) I will illustrate it's depth.

IL.
