Yes I guess you could say that I have a broad range of interests..... But my number one interest is of course the Boer War......

As to being a nautical type well I joined the R.C.N. at 17 and between Regular Force and Reserves I served for 32 years......

The SGM and the Lee Enfield I think that I will keep but the other items were a very reasonable price and I think that I will use them for trade when something that I really want come up......

The Lee was purchased during the last 1/2 hour of the last day and I was able to obtain it at a very very good price so a deal was made that I could not refuse..... No the bears are safe......

I agree with Brett, the group to Taylor is really very nice, but it was the fifth paragraph that I noticed, you bought a Lee Enfield?

You are full of surprises, I do like the Taylor group, the RHS medal is very pleasing to the eye, I have seen plenty of them down the years, but, have never bought one.
Always too busy buying text book stuff for a particular collection, very silly really, better, I think to at least, sometimes, buy because you just like it, not because you "must have" it in a given collection.

I do have to say that the WW1 Pair and the RHS are un-named originals though the man is entitled to them.....

I thought that I had posted his history on the forum earlier but I cannot find it now.....

Will have to dig it up.....
