I hope that Mike and his family and friends are safe and unaffected by the floods in Calgary. Mike, keep safe and dry!

Brett,
I am very optimistic for Mike as he was on here after this had all started to unfold, hopefully, he will be just getting up and thinking about having his breakfast, though, I suspect any flag he is flying today may well be a little damp.

Good Morning Everyone......

Thank you for your kind remarks..... My family and I are all OK.....

My family and I are on a high hill well above the flood level but can see the flooding from where we are.....

We will be working at one of the evacuation centers today.....

We have had more rain in 3 days than we normally have in a year.....

Everything is soggy Frank but the sun is out this morning and this brings some warmth to everyone.....

Hi Frank.....

Yes the Canadian Flag is up and flying.....

The flow on the main river (The Bow) is normally 165 Cubic Meters per second is now flowing at 750 Cubic Meters per second and yesterday it was as high as 900.....

There are a few communities where they are now letting some people back into their homes but the central business core of the city they think will be shut down until mid next week.....

The museum where I do volunteer work is flooded but lucky for them the display's and storage are on the second floor and up and it is just the underground parking and mechanical areas are the only areas flooded..... I am getting a number of emails from them every so often and they have not called us in yet....

The Military Museum is on high ground so is therefore quite safe.....

It is now 9:18 am as I am typing this, they think that the flood peak will be close to 1.00 pm today.....
