You must certainly NOT 'Stop This ...". We rely on you to keep us informed, entertained and envious. Hopefully, the winter will not stop you acquiring items by means of the Internet, so neither you nor we will feel deprived.

Hello Mike,
I was given a copy of Stewart's History of the X11, when I was about seven years old, I remember being quite unable to put it down!
It took me about twenty years to find the medals to a member of the regiment's C Squadron who was actually there, at Moy, on the 28nd of August 1914, "The Adjutant was using an old cutting sword which went in and out of the Germans like a pat of butter" :woohoo:
They don't write them like that anymore! :(
Perhaps because its just not done anymore! :(
Regards Frank :(

What a great find Mike, a new bookshelf required?

Hi Brett.....

Oh I guess I will not stop..... LOL

I only post my South African finds here..... There are others, i.e. a Battle of Britain Pilots Log Books, Papers galore and Photo Album, but the thing is the pilot was German.....

A collection of items from 2424 M.A.S.H. from Korea.....

I have a list of friends who collect many different items and am always on the lookout for them.....

I will admit one of the best that I found for a friend lately was a bunch of original documents from Stalag Luft III (the Great Escape camp) including a typed list of 37 of the 50 taken from the camp bulletin board......

No will never give up the hunt is to much fun......

Mike
