I am not sure if the online catalogue for the Lockdales sales on 17 & 18 May is complete but lot 80 looks a little odd.

There's no picture and the caption reads:

Boer war scarce Boar regiment hat to the only official Boer regiment

Belmont and Modder River to the Gloucestershires?

Lot 622
QSA with clasps TRAN/OFS/MODD River/Belmont with KSA bars for SA02 SA01 both named to 669 Pte C Ebden Gloucestershire Reg comes with copy set of soldiers service papers. £280 - £300

I think that should be 669 Pte C Ebden, Coldstream Guards.

The world is going crazy.

Lot 623
QSA with no clasps named to 1339 Pte G S D Chave Imperial Light Infantry. With copy medal rolls showing entitlement to the SA01 clasp and Belmont. GVF (1). £90 - £100

Belmont to the ILI would be impressive.

This is one of the errant 'tick on the column' errors that is sometimes seen with the Natal clasp.

Hello David,
Well you never really know what to think with some of these provincial salerooms, it was the use of the word hat and not helmet in this case, given that I have my doubts that anyone there would actually know anything about the National Scouts, so I suppose it might well be.
Kind regards Frank
