In St John's churchyard, Garrigill, near Alston, Cumberland/Cumbria. Not somewhere I expected to come across an inscription like this!

Which regiments/units had the highest casualty rates in the ABW? I've read that in WW1 it was the Machine Gun Corps that had the highest rate of fatalities and was consequently nicknamed "The Suicide Squad."
