Thanks for the latest contribution. This is quite different from the 'usual' run of memorials depicting soldiers. I live near Glasgow , so I must go and have a look at this one.

Do you take these photos on business trips or do you spend your leisure time touring Britain, looking for ABW memorials? Whatever the answer it's a brilliant record.

I found this on the Victorian Wars Forum.....

And I Quote.....

"I just read the sad news that a memorial to the men of the Highland light infantry situated in Kelvingrove park in Glasgow has been attacked by two men with hammers. The feet were smashed and the figures facial features badly smashed. The men haven't been caught but police are appealing for information. Ill bet they're the usual cowardly, unwashed, left wing social justice warrior types that share a brain cell occasionally. I hope they're caught and the full weight of the law is applied."
